These Diverse Dives are all in an impactful verse form!
Diverse Dives include rich, guided discussions, engaging videos, and extension activities pulling from learners’ lived experiences and relatable situations. Many of the Diverse Dives also include extended resources to explain difficult topics on a level that teens can understand, as well as caregiver resources and support.
Diverse Dives are meant to help caregivers and learners connect over topics that can be hard to discuss without a “guide” or support. If you feel your learner would benefit best without the discussion, you can choose to modify by turning questions into journal prompts or other form of expression.
Louder Than Hunger by John Schu
This story follows a 13-year-old teen boy living in Chicago in the 1990s. He is hospitalized for an eating disorder.
